Leeds join race to sign Patrick Roberts on loan
Leeds United have joined the race to land Patrick Roberts on loan from Manchester City, as he prepares to leave Norwich.
According to Team Talk, Leeds and Middlesbrough are both interested in the forward, who was signed by Manchester City for £12m from Fulham in 2015.
The report claims that Manchester City are set to recall Roberts from his loan spell at Norwich. Roberts has not made a single league start for the Canaries so far.
READ NORWICH VERDICT
Roberts has had a torrid time in Norfolk and it seems like the best time for him to part ways with the club. Daniel Farke clearly does not rate him enough to play at Premier League level, due to the fact he has had no injuries and still cannot even make the bench on a regular basis.
A move back down to the Championship would be a chance for him to play every week and gain some much-needed confidence after a sapping six months in the Premier League. Leeds are challenging at the top end of the table, which would mean Roberts would enjoy plenty of the ball and be given the freedom to express himself in the final third and prove himself.
