Norwich player ratings: Leicester (A)

If you hadn’t seen the game and only saw the stats, you would have thought it was a lucky draw for the visitors but it was the perfect counter attacking performance from the Canaries and arguably had the better chances.

The Foxes started the better team and were close to taking the lead. Tielemans shot a tame shot which should had been easily gathered but Krul spilled it and gratefully had back in his grasp before Vardy could convert.

Then the Canaries grew into the game and had a spell in which they found their opener. Trybull pushed the ball five yards to Buendia who split the defence with a pin point through ball and after a touch to set himself, Pukki slid the ball past Schmichel.

What started as a pretty game with plenty of tricks and flicks quickly turned ugly. Trybull put the ball into touch due to two of his teammates needing treatment. So Norwich were expecting to receive the ball from the throw in but Iheanacho played on and started running towards the Norwich back line. Zimmermann fouled him before a massive brawl issued.

Leicester equalised minutes before half time thanks to an unfortunate own goal from Krul.

The Foxes were the better team in the second period but couldn’t beat the resolute Norwich defence.
