Key battles: Norwich v Newcastle

Norwich face Newcastle in their first home game after their promotion back to the Premier League.

Norwich convincingly lost to Liverpool last Friday night, conceding four goals all in the first-half. Despite this, Norwich played some impressive attacking football and created a few good chances – Finnish striker Teemu Pukki slotting calmly past Adrian in the second-half.

Newcastle also lost their opening fixture against Arsenal – but only narrowly thanks to a 58th-minute strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Daniel Farke will be hoping his side can learn from their mistakes against Liverpool and take the positives into Saturday, where they are back in front of the roaring Carrow Road home crowd.

Both Farke and new Magpies boss Steve Bruce will be hoping to get their first points on the board against more a more favourable opposition than their previous games.

We take a look at the key battles the Canaries will need to win to get their first three points on the board…
