“Hat-trick incoming” – These Norwich fans praise Pukki ahead of Newcastle game

Norwich City return to Premier League action again on Saturday as they host Newcastle United.

The Canaries lost 4-1 to Liverpool last Friday and will be hoping to get their first points of the season on the board.

Ahead of the match, Norwich posted a clip of Pukki celebrating his goal against the Reds.

Some Norwich fans responded to the post to praise Teemu Pukki heading into the game…

After scoring 30 goals in all competitions for Norwich last season, Pukki was always going to be the man people look to in attack this term.

Any doubts over his ability to transition from the Championship to the Premier League were swept away at Anfield as Pukki caused constant problems for Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez – before finding the back of the net with a clinical finish.

Newcastle defended strongly against Arsenal, despite losing 1-0, and will provide a tough test for Pukki’s striking abilities at the weekend. If the likes of Emi Buendia and Todd Cantwell can create chances for Pukki, though, his record at Norwich suggests he will take it.
