“CBA” – These Norwich fans react to EFL Cup draw

Norwich City have been drawn to play Crawley Town away from home in the Second Round of the EFL Cup.

The Canaries, as a Premier League side, were not involved in the First Round of the competition and will now face Crawley in the week between a home clash with Chelsea and an away trip to West Ham.

These Norwich fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the draw…

Thomas seems to have been put off by the sale of the West Ham tickets…

Simon has had his say.

The EFL Cup is the perfect chance for Daniel Farke to hand out minutes to the fringe players in his squad, to maintain match-fitness across the board.

Players like Sam Byram, Ralf Fahrmann, Mario Vrancic and Josip Drmic – who were all on the bench against Liverpool – could be handed their first starts of the season in the competition, giving them an opportunity to shine.

Of course, a home game would have been ideal as it would involve less travel for the players between important Premier League matches, but you cannot have it all your own way and Farke will need to use his squad well to avoid fatigue for the regular first-team players.
