Mane could be available for Norwich’s clash with Liverpool

Norwich City could have to deal with Sadio Mane on the opening weekend of the season, with the Liverpool Echo claiming he could be available for the Canaries’ trip to Anfield.

Daniel Farke’s side are back in the top flight and they begin with one of the toughest assignments imaginable.

Liverpool start the 2019/20 campaign as European champions, highlighting the daunting nature of Norwich’s task on August 9th.

There was a chance that Mane would be unavailable for the game, having only just finished Africa Cup of Nations duty with Senegal, following their 1-0 defeat to Algeria in the final.

It is now believed the 27-year-old could be back for the Premier League curtain raiser, however, which is a potential blow to Norwich.

Mane will return to Liverpool on August 5th, which does admittedly mean he might not be match fit enough to start the game, following his summer holiday.

The Reds’ No.10 finished last season as the top flight’s leading goalscorer, along with Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
