Norwich City face Bundesliga side Schalke on Friday in their third pre-season friendly of the summer.
The Canaries have already played Arminia Bielefeld and FC Bonner in the last seven days, drawing 2-2 and winning 4-1 respectively.
Dennis Srbeny and Josip Drmic scored in the draw with Bielefeld, whilst Idam Idah (2), Onel Hernandez and Teemu Pukki found the back of the net against 4th tier outfit FC Bonner on Tuesday.
After returning from Germany, Norwich face Brentford, Luton, Toulouse and Atalanta before the start of the Premier League campaign.
Daniel Farke will be without a few of his squad, however, against Schalke after suffering a number of injuries in recent weeks.
Ben Godfrey, Josip Drmic, Alex Tettey and Mario Vrancic are all set to miss out, with Timm Klose and Todd Cantwell back in contention after missing out on the first game.
Here is how we predict that Norwich will line up against the Bundesliga side…
The German shot-stopper could start against his parent club on Friday night. He impressed during his first appearance for Norwich against Arminia Bielefeld last weekend.
Norwich’s latest signing could be given a start as he looks to settle into the squad this week. The former West Ham defender needs to work his way back to full fitness.
Due to Norwich’s injury problems at the back, Hanley could be forced to start for the third game in-a-row. The Scottish defender has played just two competitive games this year, one ending in a red card and the other lasting only a few minutes as a substitute.
The Swiss defender has returned to training this week and could be in line to feature in his first pre-season match of the summer.
With Klose potentially returning to the team, Jamal Lewis could move back to left-back. Lewis has been forced to play as a central defender in the last two friendly matches.
The German is Norwich’s only holding midfielder at the club, with Alex Tettey injured and unlikely to feature next season, and needs to get minutes under his belt.
With Mario Vrancic out, either Mo Leitner or McLean will start alongside Trybull in midfield. We predict that McLean will get the nod on Friday.
The on-loan Manchester City winger needs to get up to speed ahead of the new season. Roberts has shown flashes of quality in the first two friendlies out in Germany.
Srbeny has caught the eye with his performances in the number 10 role out in Germany. He could be given another chance to impress Daniel Farke as he looks to be involved in the Premier League next season.
Hernandez is Norwich’s only natural left winger and set the Championship alight last season. He scored in the club’s 4-1 win over FC Bonner earlier this week.
Pukki is yet to start a pre-season game, but that could change against his former club this Friday. The Finland international scored 30 goals last season.
