Norwich set to bring back Jordan Rhodes

Norwich are reportedly closing in on a deal to bring Jordan Rhodes back to the club after he helped the Canaries secure promotion to the Premier League last season.

Rhodes was brought in on loan from Sheffield Wednesday in an attempt to bolster Daniel Farke’s attack, and his six goals proved vital as the East Anglian outfit won the Championship title on the final day of the season.

Having since returned to Wednesday, it has become clear that he no longer has a future at the club, but despite being offered to potential suitors, his high wages combined with The Owls’ £10 million valuation of him, have made the possibility of a permanent move away almost impossible.

Norwich have thus registered their interest in taking the 29-year-old back on loan, despite the fact that the Scottish international has already endured a dismal spell in the Premier League with Middlesbrough.

Rhodes, should he be signed by the Canaries, will provide cover for first-choice striker Teemu Pukki.
