Norwich interested in deal to sign Dan Happe

Norwich City are interested in a deal to sign Leyton Orient centre-back Daniel Happe this summer.

According to The Daily Mail, Leicester and Norwich are fighting it out to land Happe ahead of next season, with Championship side Leeds United also said to be holding an interest in the defender.

The report claims that Happe is in the last year of his contract with Leyton Orient, meaning that he would be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season if he fails to sign a new deal.

Leyton Orient are said to be open to letting Happe leave the club this summer, but only if it results in him rejoining on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign.

The club secured promotion back to the Football League last term, with Happe playing a key role at the back – impressing at centre-back as they climbed out of the National League.
