Sheffield Wednesday prepared to cash in on Rhodes

Sheffield Wednesday are prepared to cash in on Norwich City target Jordan Rhodes this summer.

According to the Sheffield Star, the Championship outfit are ready to sell Rhodes ahead of next season.

The report claims that Steve Bruce wants to get Rhodes off the books, due to Wednesday having a host of striking options at the club. Along with Rhodes, Wednesday have Lucas Joao, Fernando Forestieri, Sam Winnall, Atdhe Nuhiu and Steven Fletcher at Hillsborough.

Rhodes spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan to Norwich, scoring nine times in all competitions as the Canaries soared to the Championship title – securing promotion to the Premier League.

The Star claim that Rhodes is desperate to complete a permanent move to Norwich in the coming weeks, but no bid has been made as of yet for the Scottish international.

Norwich have already signed a striker to bolster their squad this summer, bringing in Josip Drmic from Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer.
