Norwich City defender Sean Raggett is set to join Portsmouth on a season-long loan deal as they look to push for promotion back into the Championship.
Following the departure of Matt Clarke to Brighton, Portsmouth have been keen to find a replacement for the defender who was crucial in their side last season.
Raggett signed for the Canaries back in August 2017 after helping Lincoln gain promotion to the Football League.
The defender also played a key role in a historic FA Cup run which saw the Imps beat the likes of Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley, before losing to Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
The 25-year-old has spent time on loan with Lincoln and Rotherham in recent years, enduring a difficult season with the Millers due to numerous injury problems.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke could well look to bolster his defensive options ahead of their Premier League return, however, he will be without Raggett, who will be plying his trade at Fratton Park next season.
Four defenders Norwich could sign this summer
Cahill is available on a free transfer following his departure from Chelsea and would bring some much needed Premier League experience to Carrow Road.
Dawson is keen on a return to the Premier League following West Brom’s failure to secure an immediate return to the top-flight.
The Bournemouth defender was vital in Aston Villa’s defence as they won promotion to the Premier League. Mings would be an excellent signing for the Canaries.
The versatile defender is available on a free transfer with his contract running out with the Sky Blues, with Championship side Bristol City favourites to sign the youngster.
