Norwich confirm Krul has penned a new three-year deal

Having played a pivotal role in Norwich City’s automatic promotion back to the Premier League, experienced goalkeeper Tim Krul has now been rewarded with a new three-year contract.

Krul did not miss a single minute last season, having moved to Carrow Road from Brighton and Hove Albion on a free transfer last summer, and some impressive displays helped ensure the Canaries went up as champions.

Speaking exclusively to Norwich’s official club website, Krul said:

I’m over the moon to be extending my journey at Norwich City. The club gave me the opportunity to play week in week out and to play every second last season was amazing.

I have to thank the manager [Daniel Farke], all the staff and Stuart Webber for the opportunities they’ve given me. Everything has come true this season and I’m happy to be staying at this special club.

Looking back on lifting the Championship title last month, Krul added:

As a whole, everybody realises the trophy was done together.

The Netherlands shot-stopper has previously played in the Premier League with Brighton but most notably for Newcastle United, where he made 160 appearances.

Krul will be hoping to help Norwich enjoy a strong first season back in the top flight, as they look to secure survival following an exceptional Championship campaign.
