Premier League-bound Norwich City are on the lookout for an experienced goalkeeper this summer, but according to claims from The Daily Mail, they are being priced out of deals for several of their top choices.

The Canaries reportedly weighed up moves for one of Simon Mignolet, Joe Hart, or Alex McCarthy, three shot-stoppers with plenty of top-flight experience, something the club will be keen to acquire this summer.

However, with the club seemingly hopeful of a bargain signing between the sticks, high wage demands and transfer fees appear to have priced them out of moves for the trio of aforementioned goalkeepers.

Daniel Farke is set to be handed a relatively modest transfer budget this summer, and with Tim Krul already at the club, he will surely be hesitant to splash out too much on one position.

Doubts have been raised over Krul returning to the Premier League this season, with the former Newcastle United man conceding 57 goals this campaign, a record for a Championship-winning side.

Both Mignolet and Hart are facing the prospect of limited game time for Liverpool and Burnley respectively next season, behind the likes of Alisson and Tom Heaton.

McCarthy, meanwhile, finds himself in a similar position at Southampton, where he lost the number one jersey to England Under-21 international and former Canaries star Angus Gunn.

Norwich may instead turn their attention to Rejka keeper Simon Sluga as a bargain option, according to the report.
