Sheffield Wednesday demand £7m for Jordan Rhodes

Norwich have been told that they will have to pay £7m if they want to sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes this summer.

According to The Pink’Un, Sheffield Wednesday are not willing to renegotiate the fee agreed in Rhodes’ loan deal.

The report claims that Norwich agreed a £7m option to sign Rhodes permanently, if they chose to, at the end of his loan spell.

However, Norwich are now trying to broker a lower fee, which Sheffield Wednesday are not prepared to do.

Sheffield Wednesday are said to be keen to sell Rhodes this summer and are hoping that other clubs enter the race in an attempt to get his wages off the books.

Rhodes scored nine goals in all competitions for Norwich this season, but only made nine Championship starts due to the incredible form of Teemu Pukki – who ended the campaign on 30 goals.

The Scottish international wants to stay in Norwich and is said to be happy after settling in Norfolk over the course of his loan spell.
