Norwich eyeing £1.8m deal for Croatian goalkeeper Simon Sluga

Norwich City are eyeing up a deal to sign HNK Rijeka goalkeeper Simon Sluga this summer.

According to GOAL, Norwich are one of four clubs showing an interest in Sluga following his impressive performances for Rijeka this season.

Sheffield United, Derby County and German side Hertha Berlin are all also said to be interested in signing the shot-stopper.

The report claims that he is set to be available for a fee in the region of £1.8m, which would be well within reason for a Premier League club like Norwich.

Sluga recently earned his first call up to the Croatian national team and could make his debut for his country in their European Championship 2020 qualifiers next month.

GOAL claim that Norwich are looking for a new number one to replace Dutchman Tim Krul after his worrying performances in the Championship, and have been linked with a swoop for Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet.
