Norwich join the race to sign Wales international Will Vaulks

Norwich City are among the teams interested in Rotherham United midfielder Will Vaulks, according to TEAMtalk.

Norwich along with Sheffield United are the two soon-to-be top-flight clubs said to be interested in Vaulks, while Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County are also rumoured to be keen on the midfielder.

Despite being part of the Rotherham United side that were relegated from the Championship, Vaulks has been one of their shining lights and has impressed a lot of people with his gutsy performances this season.

The 25-year-old was rewarded for his good form with his first Wales call-up in March and he held his own and played well in his two appearances.

Vaulks had a great season in 2017/18 as Rotherham gained promotion to the Championship through the League One play-offs. He spearheaded promotion, scoring eight and assisting six in 52 appearances.

A few would have doubted whether Vaulks could make the step up and perform at the same level in the second tier, but he has had another good season despite the Millers’ relegation.

The Welshman scored seven and set up another seven as he was involved in over a quarter of Rotherham’s goals all season.

Vaulks offers a lot more than just goals and assists though, as his fierce and passionate nature offers any midfield an added edge.

He is out of contract next season and with interest in him from Premier League and top tier Championship clubs, Rotherham may be forced to lose their star man.
