West Ham make offer for Norwich target Fortounis

West Ham have reportedly made an official bid for Norwich City transfer target Kostas Fortounis.

The Greek international midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Norwich earlier this year, with the club now planning for life in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side won the Championship title and will now be looking to strengthen their squad as they aim to survive in the top-flight next season.

One of their targets, however, could be on his way to West Ham. According to Radio Sport 24, via The Mirror, West Ham have lodged an £8m bid for Fortounis as they look to bring him to the London Stadium.

Fortounis enjoyed an impressive campaign with Olympiacos in Greece, where he contributed to 20 goals in 28 league appearances – 12 goals and eight assists.

Norwich are yet to make their first signing in the transfer window after it opened last week, but there are still months for Stuart Webber to work with.
