Norwich among clubs keen on deal for Burki

Norwich are among a host of clubs interested in signing Zlute Waregem defender Marko Burki.

According to Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, via Estadio Deportivo, Norwich are one of the sides keen on signing Burki this summer.

The central defender is attracting interest from all across Europe following his performances for Waregem this season.

He mainly operates as a centre-back, but can also play on the left side of the defence, which makes him an ideal squad player to have.

Leganes, Nottingham Forest and Torino are all also said to be looking to land him ahead of next season, with the Spanish side Leganes the current favourites to secure a deal.

Marko Burki is the brother of Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki, but he has not yet been capped by Switzerland at international level.

The report also claims that he is available for around €800k this summer, which would be a reasonable sum for Premier League side Norwich.
