Instead, they were held to a 2-2 draw after going 1-0 and 2-1 up during the game at the Bet365 stadium.
Onel Hernandez and Teemu Pukki scored the goals for Norwich, whilst Ashley Williams and Tom Edwards scored for Stoke.
