Norwich set £20m Premier League transfer budget

Norwich City are planning to spend £20m in the transfer market if they are able to secure promotion to the Premier League.

According to The Daily Mail, Norwich will have themselves a transfer budget of £20m, which includes player fees and wages.

The report claims that Norwich are eager to avoid a situation like the current one at Fulham, where they spent over £100m on players and have now been relegated in their first season back in the top-flight.

It is also claimed that Norwich will now be financially secure and able to keep hold of their best players, rather than needing to sell them on to make a profit, as they did with Josh Murphy and James Maddison last summer.

Norwich are said to believe in their current squad of players and think that they have a better chance at survival if they keep the core of the team and make addition around it.
