Norwich City rescued a point in the 97th minute as they secured a 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday.
The Canaries are now only five points clear of third, having gone into this set of fixtures with a seven point lead.
Marco Stiepermann put Norwich 1-0 up early in the first-half, but a wonder goal from Fernando Forestieri made it 1-1 before half-time.
Steven Fletcher then gave the away side the lead as he fumbled the ball into the net with his arm from close range – but the officials failed to spot the offence.
Mario Vrancic secured a point for Norwich in stoppage time as he curled in a beauty of a free-kick in the 97th minute.
Here is how we rated Norwich’s players…
Tim Krul: 8
Made two exceptional saves in the second-half, including one of the saves of the season from a dipping volley.
Max Aarons: 7
Made some good tackles at the back and put a great cross in for Kenny McLean, who put his header wide.
Christoph Zimmermann: 8
Was impressive at the back, with some vital blocks and tackles.
Ben Godfrey: 4
His worst performance in a while. Was bullied by Fletcher all night and didn’t switch on for the second goal from Wednesday.
Jamal Lewis: 7
Looked really good going forward, after some disappointing showings in recent weeks.
Tom Trybull: 8
Covered the back four well and made a number of impressive interceptions and tackles to win the ball back.
Kenny McLean: 4
Was off the pace all game. Never seemed to switch on when the ball was near him and played too many sloppy balls.
Mo Leitner: 5
Playing out of position for most of the game, Leitner looked rusty.
Marco Stiepermann: 5
The goal is the only thing stopping his rating from being far lower. After scoring, he dropped an abysmal display. Every time he picked up the ball he either played a poor pass or tried to do too much and got tackled.
Onel Hernandez: 7
Set up Stiepermann for the first goal with a good run and was a constant threat all night.
Teemu Pukki: 7
Didn’t really get any chances of note during the game, but used the ball well when he did get possession and worked his socks off.
Mario Vrancic: 9
Dennis Srbeny: 6
