Norwich City returned to the top of the Championship on Wednesday as they beat Hull 3-2 at Carrow Road.
The Canaries move two points clear of Leeds at the top of the table, despite late pressure from Hull.
Marco Stiepermann and Emi Buendia put Norwich 2-0 up in the opening 15 minutes, but a goal from Marc Pugh just before half-time made it 2-1.
Buendia then made it three in the second-half, but a header from Chris Martin in the 86th minute led to a nervy ending to the game.
Here is how we rated Norwich’s players…
Tim Krul: 4
Dropped a cross in the first-half which could have led to a goal and then made a major error leading to Hull’s first. Conceded two goals from two shots against him.
Max Aarons: 8
Made some excellent tackles in both halves and was bright going forward.
Christoph Zimmermann: 6
Should have had a penalty awarded against him at 3-1, but got away with it. Not his best display.
Ben Godfrey: 6
Made some decent challenges, but was caught out for Hull’s second goal.
Jamal Lewis: 7
Defended well and looked dangerous every time he went forward.
Kenny McLean: 7
Awful first-half, much like against Swansea, but grew into the game and was good in the second-half.
Tom Trybull: 8
Wobbly start to the game, but covered so much ground and was constantly winning the ball back and looking to progress Norwich forward up the pitch.
Emi Buendia: 9
Yet again, Buendia was class. Three goals in two games for the incredible Argentine midfielder.
Marco Stiepermann: 8
Sublime work for his first goal and worked hard, as always, off the ball.
Onel Hernandez: 6
Hernandez has been very frustrating in recent weeks. Getting into so many excellent positions and often wasting the ball.
Teemu Pukki: 7
One goal in his last four games and a few very wayward shots, Pukki seems to have lost his shooting boots. He did, however, work incredibly hard off the ball and his hold-up play was great – assisting Buendia for his second.
