Arsenal are set to step up their interest in signing Norwich City central defender Ben Godfrey this summer.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are looking at Godfrey as one of a number of potential defensive signings at the end of the season.
The report claims that Arsenal scouts have been watching him throughout the season and will continue to monitor his progress between now and May.
Godfrey has been a regular in the Norwich defence since mid-December and is currently enjoying a good run of form alongside Christoph Zimmermann in central defence.
The 21-year-old’s place could now come under pressure, however, with Swiss international Timm Klose returning to full fitness.
Godfrey joined Norwich from York in January 2016 and scored his first league goal for Norwich against Derby County at the end of December 2018.
Arsenal have struggled with defensive injuries this season and the report claims that Unai Emery is looking to add new options to his squad in the summer.
