Our man of the match: Brentford (A)
Norwich City came from 1-0 down to pick up a point at Griffin Park against Brentford on New Year’s Day.
Daniel Farke decided to stick to the same starting XI who lost 4-3 to Derby at the weekend and was made to pay as he watched his side labour through the first-half and go in a goal down.
However, Norwich managed to snatch an equaliser in the final ten minutes as Timm Klose powered a header in from a corner.
It was a fairly poor performance from Norwich, despite improving towards the end of the match.
Picking a man of the match has been easy, with one man standing out ahead of the rest.
Our Norwich man of the match is… Tim Krul!
The Dutch shot-stopper, arguably, had his best game in a Norwich shirt as he made two incredible saves to keep them in the tie.
He had no chance with the goal, but saved a header from Neal Maupay from point-blank range and then tipped another shot heading for the top corner from the Frenchman over the bar.
Krul has had his critics this season, but has been in good form of late, which has not been reflected by the amount of goals he has conceded.
Norwich’s defence has faltered in recent weeks, which has, perhaps, taken away from how good Krul has been.
