Former Norwich striker Grant Holt wins wrestling battle royal

Former Norwich City favourite Grant Holt has sensationally begun his Wrestling Career by winning a 40 man battle royal on his debut.

Featuring in Norwich promotion World Association Wrestling, the former Norwich forward stunned spectators by winning the event, despite not being announced as being in the event.

Holt has been announced in an event next year for WAW, with the striker set to join tag-team Roy and Zak Knight, known as the UK Hooligans, at Fightmare 3 in 2019.

The former Wigan and Rochdale man did not even change his clothes before entering the ring, fighting off opponents to win the 40 man event.

Holt took home the trophy to celebrate his win, as he looks to transition into the wrestling business after retiring from football earlier this year.

The striker had a prolific few seasons at the Canaries, helping Paul Lambert’s side storm through the divisions to reach the Premier League.
