Our man of the match: Middlesbrough (H)
Norwich beat Middlesbrough 1-0 on Saturday as they returned from the international break with a win.
Tony Pulis’ side were sitting joint-top of the table coming into the game and had kept five clean sheets on the spin.
Captain Grant Hanley was injured during the international break and German defender Christoph Zimmermann came in and produced an excellent display at the back to help Norwich to their second clean sheet of the season.
The winning goal came midway through the second-half as Teemu Pukki poked the ball in for his 4th of the season.
Picking a man of the match has been difficult, with a number of impressive performers for Norwich.
Max Aarons, Tim Krul, Alex Tettey, Moritz Leitner and Teemu Pukki could all have won the award.
However, our Norwich man of the match is… Christoph Zimmermann!
The central defender came in for his first Championship start of the season and was a rock at the back.
He won all his duels and pocketed Britt Assombalonga with relative ease throughout the game.
Zimmermann was also positive with the ball and looked to drive the team forward when he had possession, rather than opting for easy sideways passes every time.
