Adam Phillips to join Hamilton on loan

Adam Phillips is set to join Hamilton Academical on loan, joining striker Mason Bloomfield on loan at the Scottish Premiership side.

The former Liverpool midfielder joined Norwich last season after his release from Liverpool after numerous injury problems at the Reds.

The midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at League 2 Cambridge United, after spending much time with the Norwich U-23 side.

Phillips is unlikely to get first team football with Norwich for now, so a loan at Hamilton could help the midfielder get some action in Scotland’s top division.

The ex-Liverpool midfielder spent the majority of his career at the Reds, but never broke through into the first team.

Phillips spent some time on the Norwich bench last season, but is yet to make his senior debut for the Canaries.

A number of teams were interested in Phillips according to HITC, but Hamilton moved fast to secure a deal.
