Marley Watkins could be on the move to Bristol City

Summer signing Marley Watkins could already be on his way out of Carrow Road as Bristol City look to make him their first signing of the window, according to the Bristol Post.

It is becoming more and more likely that The Robins will remain in the Championship again next season, and boss Lee Johnson has identified the former Barnsley man and one of his key targets.

The Welshman has suffered an underwhelming first season in Norfolk, scoring just one goal in 27 appearances.

Bristol City boss Johnson is a big admirer of Watkins, he tried and failed to sign him twice. Once in the Summer before Norwich stepped in, and once in January with a rejected bid coming back from Carrow Road.

The Canaries winger played under Johnson two years ago in League One with Barnsley, before he left for Bristol City.

Daniel Farke may now, however, be ready to let the 27-year-old leave after failing to establish himself in the Germans first eleven.
