Our man of the match: Millwall (A)

Norwich City were thrashed on Saturday as they lost 4-0 to a Millwall side who had yet to win a game.

Millwall came into the game still looking for their first win of the Championship season.

The London-based side breezed Norwich aside at The Den as the Canaries crumbled in the first half.

Millwall scored two goals in the space of five minutes and were 3-0 up at half-time, with the fourth coming midway through the second half.

The Canaries’ defence was in sixes and sevens all match – with Martin and Franke struggling to deal with basic defensive tasks.

Norwich have now conceded eight goals in two games and lose three of their last four Championship matches.

Daniel Farke has had a poor start to life as Norwich head coach and will surely be hoping he can add to his squad before next week’s transfer deadline.

Picking a man of the match has been fairly easy, with one man coming out of the game with a little credit; Nelson Oliveira.

He was probably the only Norwich player who wasn’t awful. He wasn’t good either, but he was the best of a bad bunch.

Was unlucky in the first half as his effort was brilliantly saved by Jordan Archer.
