Our man of the match: Leeds (H)

Norwich City have now lost four games in-a-row after being beaten at home by Leeds today.

Leeds scored a 91st minute winner as they leave Carrow Road with three points under their belt, and a 3-2 win.

The Canaries were, largely, the better team in the first half and went into the break 1-0 up. Robbie Brady met an Alex Pritchard corner and looped the ball into the back of the net to hand City the lead.

However, Leeds came straight out of the blocks in the second half and put Norwich under pressure from the off.

Alex Neil decided to wait and see if his side could see out the pressure before making a change but goals from Pontus Jansson and Chris Wood went in before a substitution was made.

Norwich were able to almost salvage a point. Kyle Lafferty fired home from six yards out to make it 2-2 in the 88th minute but Leeds scored just three minutes later after Ronaldo Vieira’s shot squirmed through the hands of Michael McGovern.

Good performances were few and far between for Norwich today. Ryan Bennett, Timm Klose and Alex Pritchard all did ‘okay’ but there was only ever going to be one winner.

Louis Thompson.

On his full Championship debut for Norwich, Thompson was easily the best player in yellow today.

His work-rate, tenacity and desire to impress stood him apart from the rest. The 21-year-old made numerous impressive tackles and interceptions, with some good bursts forward on the ball as well.

Norwich could have some player on their hands if they manage him well…
