Norwich City sit fourth in the Championship after a thumping 5-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton today.
Brighton forward Glenn Murray netted a hat-trick, with Lewis Dunk and Anthony Knockaert scoring the other goals for the home side.
It was an embarrassment, to say the least, for Norwich and their fans as they capitulated down South. This extends Norwich’s run of games without a win to four.
Norwich have also not kept a league clean sheet since August, and have failed to keep a single clean sheet away from home in the Championship this season.
Brighton were 1-0 up at half-time, with Norwich in desperate need of a chance. But, Alex Neil kept things as they were – before bringing on Nelson Oliveira after Brighton scored their third goal to make it 3-0.
Usually after each game I would pick out a man of the match from the Norwich team on the day – but that just is not possible today. So, I have dedicated this man of the match award to the fans.
Not only did they have to endure the long journey down to Brighton – but most stayed until the final whistle and even tried to have a laugh when Oliveira managed a shot on target…
