Alex Neil present at Forest v Wigan

Norwich boss Alex Neil has been photographed in the executive box at the City Ground today as he watched Nottingham Forest play Wigan.

Forest came out 4-3 victors in a dramatic match where they snatched the win right at the death.

Britt Assombalonga, who has been linked with a move to Norwich, played 15 minutes before being taken off injured. In that time he scored the opening goal for his side. Neil stayed beyond Assombalonga leaving the field, indicating that scouting him may not have been the sole purpose of Neil’s visit.

Others have rumoured that the Scotsman was using his day off to scout two teams that Norwich will be facing in the next month.

Neil’s side are currently 5th in the Championship with a game in hand, as they face East Anglian rivals Ipswich at 12pm on Sunday. Neil will look to extend Norwich’s unbeaten run against Ipswich to seven matches.
