Colney suffers security breach from winged assailant

Norwich City’s training ground was surrounded by police in the early hours of the morning after a security alert was triggered…by a moth, the EDP report.

Officers were called to Colney at 12:40am on Tuesday after an alarm was activated at the training complex. The all clear was given after it was confirmed that the alert was triggered by a giant moth in one of the buildings.

Of course, following this daring heist attempt by the insect, who may have flown out of the Ipswich Town trophy cabinet, Twitter was quick to make some witty responses.

The moth, who caused more of a threat to Norwich’s security than Cameron Jerome caused to opposition defences last season, has not been named by police.

Norwich pre-season will, hopefully unimpaired by this shocking break-in, will begin on Saturday with a behind closed doors friendly against Walsall.
