Norwich City manager Alex Neil has once again spoken about the club’s need to strengthen in the January window following their failures in the summer window; of which there were plenty.
The Canaries seemed to panic buy at the end of the window, bidding on numerous players, yet only managed to bring in just Matt Jarvis on-loan on the final day of the window.
They were touted with the deadline day signings of Dwight Gayle and Steven Naismith but were both reportedly blocked due to the selling clubs not being able to bring in their own reinforcements that would have allowed the players to join Norwich.

However, Neil is looking to right the wrongs from the summer in January and put in the extra effort to make sure that come the end of the window, Norwich fans are not just left feeling bitter towards the board again.
Speaking about potential January deals and summer failures, Neil said this:
I don’t think there is any secret we tried to go out and add quality in the summer.
We tried to add a few numbers and unfortunately a few of them actually fell through on deadline day. We had three or four deals lined up and what happens then is you are relying on other teams to bring in their players and that didn’t happen for us.
I was disappointed in that fact but we will look to try again in January. We’ll look to help the squad and strengthen and if we can do that in the right way that will certainly help us.
