Norwich suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of current title holders Chelsea, courtesy of a Diego Costa goal. As always, social media was full of fans voicing their opinions on the results, with many having massively contrasting views.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Norwich’s disappointing defeat.
This fan lauded ‘keeper John Ruddy’s performance today.
John Ruddy was outstanding today. A long overdue performance from him. #canarycall #NCFC

After Redmond having a poor performance, this fan has an interesting idea on what should be done with him.
@_Redmondinho @ReadNorwich I really think Redmond should go on loan. #canarycall

Matthew believes that Norwich’s Northern Ireland international needs to be given his chance.

After an impressive performance from Jacob Murphy, Matt believes people need to remain rational about bringing him back to the club.
To all the people moaning that the Murphy’s should be here at #ncfc an an realise that these loans are making the players better.

However, Cameron thinks that Norwich cannot look for excuses after this defeat.
No excuses to why we lost today. We didn’t play well enough. Gave them too much space. Yes ref poor, but can only blame ourselves. #NCFC

This fan thinks that the exclusion of captain Russell Martin should continue, having not featured at all in the matchday squad today.
With our defence how it is no way should Russ come back in ! Look so solid #ncfc

Alex says that Chelsea lacked confidence, and Norwich should’ve capitalised on it.
Some players didn’t show up. Feel we should’ve gone for them a bit more than we did, you could see their lack of confidence #CanaryCall

Finally, Dan has said that Norwich fans should take a step back, and remember that they were facing the Champions.
1-0 loss to Chelsea isn’t bad at all. Maybe could have drawn but their quality showed. Looking up defensive wise #NCFC
