Speaking ahead of Norwich’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Alex Neil has given his squad update on fitness and injuries.
There were a number of fans worried by Nathan Redmond’s potential injury after he missed the match against Swansea and then pulled out of international duty but Neil has been quick to calm fears by saying he is ready for tomorrow and has trained all week.
It was more precautionary with Nathan. He had a tight thigh, which in unusual because he’s one of those lads who trains every day.
He wasn’t fully confident before Swansea, and with Matt (Jarvis) being out too, it was the right decision to take Nathan out and making sure we didn’t risk him.
He’s been joining in training this week, so he’s fully fit.

However, the same cannot be said for Matt Jarvis, who is still ruled out with the injury that he seen him missing for a few weeks and Neil has said that it is a matter of recovery now.
We know exactly where we stand with Matt, it’s just about recovery time for him now. He’s making good progress
Club captain Russell Martin returns having been suspsended against Swansea following his red card for handball in the area against Manchester City. He hand-balled on the line following two mistakes from John Ruddy that left Martin guarding the whole of the goal on his own.
