A Brave Norwich performance wasn’t enough as the Canaries fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
Nicolás Otamendi opened the scoring for the Citizens just after the hour mark, before Cameron Jerome capitalised on a Joe Hart error to level it late on.
It looked like it was going to be a hard-earned point for the Canaries, however, a John Ruddy and Alex Tettey mix up lead to Russell Martin handballing it in the box, leading to a City penalty and a red card for Martin. City then scored from the spot thanks to Yaya Toure.
City missed a penalty late on through Kolarov, who hit wide after Brady fouled in the box.
