Norwich City travel to the Etihad this weekend to face an in-form Manchester City side who sit top of the Premier League table.
They could go into the game without their first-choice striker Dieumerci Mbokani. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Alex Neil has said that Mbokani is currently a doubt for the match with an ‘illness’.
Mbokani has made a fairly bright start to his Norwich City career. He signed on loan from Dynamo Kiev at the start of September and although he has only scored two goals in the two months he has been here, he has also only started two games for the club.
Mbokani missed the midweek clash with Everton in the cup and now could join Andre Wisdom in being ruled out for the weekend’s game. Andre Wisdom was withdrawn against Everton with extra-time about to be played and Alex Neil has confirmed that he will be unavailable against Manchester City.

Mbokani is still trying to shake off the bug he had and then we’ve got Andre Wisdom just opened his knee up. He over-extended it. We’ve already got it scanned. It’s a little grade one just inside his knee so you are only probably talking one to two weeks. The severity is not particularly bad but it was bad enough for him to come off the other night.
Alex Neil also rather worryingly stated that Norwich had another injury concern. However, he refused to name the mystery man, making it all the more worrying for fans, as it could be anyone.
We have another slight concern that has come in this morning but I can’t tell you who that is. It is not the chef, put it that way.
I am not going to say if they were involved at Everton or not but it’s another worry for us.
Yousouf Mulumbu made his Norwich debut against Everton, but Alex Neil said that he is still not 100% ready and it will take time for him to hit full-form.
I don’t think he is capable of lasting another 90 minutes but he is certainly the type of lad who if I asked him to go and give me 60 minutes he would probably be capable of doing that. He is a naturally-fit lad, a warrior-type who is one of those that will go out and give it everything and then he is done.
What he does do is give us an energy. Look at how he plays, he is dynamic he gets stuck in, makes a few tackles and upsets a few people. You need to have that certain steel in your team and he certainly gives us that.
