Norwich City comfortably dispatched West Bromwich Albion 3-0 to advance to the last sixteen of the Capital One Cup. Fringe players, including new-signing Dieumerci Mbokani and the out-of-favour Kyle Lafferty both made appearances for the Canaries, but it was Matt Jarvis who struck first. Latching onto a well-weighted Mbokani through-ball, the West Ham man hammered in off the under side of Lindegaard’s crossbar. Kyle Lafferty replaced Lewis Grabban and almost instantly made his mark, slotting home clinically following O’Neil’s clever pass. The Irishman nearly got a second, and most thought he had, however replays showed that in fact the ball went off Pocognoli for an own goal. It was, however, his run that caused the problems for the defender.

Norwich will now face Everton at Goodison Park in the next round of the cup.
