West Ham defender James Collins is on the radar of Alex Neil, according to reports in the Express.
The 31-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Boleyn Ground due to the new arrivals signed by Slaven Bilic, not even featuring in the matchday squad for the 2-1 defeat to Leicester on Saturday.
The Welsh international, with over 45 caps to his name, has been ever-present for the Hammers over the years in two spells for the East London club. Since his return to the club from Aston Villa in 2012, Collins has managed over 76 appearances for the club, but with the emergence of new Italian arrival Angelo Ogbonna and the emergence of talent from West Ham’s established youth setup, Collins’ days at Upton Park look numbered.
Collins has a history with Norwich, Scoring late on as the Hammers took a 2-0 win at the Boleyn Ground in 2014, adding to Chris Hughton’s relegation woes.
With a breadth of Premier League experience under his belt, Collins could be a welcome addition to our defence, who badly need a player of Collins ability.
