Palace striker linked with Norwich City

According to The Mirror, Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray might be on the move. The website is reporting that Norwich will also be competing with fellow Premier League new boys Bournemouth for the striker.

Murray is an experienced goal scorer that could do wonders both on and off the pitch for the Canaries.  He has scored 147 goals in 12 seasons across the top six divisions of English football.  He could be a player that scores goals for us, and also be an experienced leader in the dressing room when the going gets tough.  If he does go, I would think that Norwich would be the favorites to sign him. Our opening day opponents Crystal Palace appear to be looking into signing bigger strikers going into their third season in the Premier League.

With the Eagles wanting to go for players like Charlie Austin and Loic Remy, they will look to offload him.  He is valued at around five million pounds, so we should be able to sign him with our financial situation.  His seven goals in the Premier League last season proves that he can do it at this level.

With Alex Neil clearly looking around for more Premiership quality strikers, this seems like an ideal fit.  I think he could help us a lot.  Do you agree with me?  Leave a comment below about what you think of us potentially signing Glenn Murray.
