Twitter reaction to signing Youssouf Mulumbu

After weeks of speculation, the world and his wife already new that Youssouf Mulumbu was signing for City before the African midfield powerhouse was officially announced. But despite the announcement feeling like a bit of an anti-climax, it still provided the opportunity for the people of Twitter to express their opinion on the first proper signing of the season.

The general consensus from Norwich fans was overwhelmingly positive. After seeing the City midfield struggle in the latter parts of last season when Tettey was absent, it was clear that this was a good bit of business.

Norfolk folk are famous for their love of a good bargain, so it was no surprise that picking up the DR Congo international on a free went down well.

And for every delighted canary, there was a heartbroken baggie. It seems the majority at the Hawthorns wanted him to stay at the Midlands club.

But despite a hugely successful 6 year stint at the club, not all were so upset to see the back of him.

And it seems even the neutral fan could see Alex Neil has made a good addition to his already strong squad.

But when you’ve just seen your club spend £8 million on Tyrone Mings, pretty much anything must look like a good deal compared to that…
