Alex Neil is interested in making Ross McCormack a Norwich City player according to the Daily Mail. McCormack is known for his goal scoring prowess and managed to bag 17 goals for league strugglers Fulham last season.

According to the Daily Mail, Neil wants to strengthen the spine of the team and is looking at a few potential targets before making moves for them. We have already reported on our interest in both Alfreð Finnbogason and Alireza Jahanbakhsh but neither look like ideal replacements with Jahanbakhsh already on the verge of signing for Brighton according to some news outlets.

McCormack has a proven goal scoring record in England having been one of the Championship’s finest strikers over the past few seasons. Fulham paid a premium for McCormack’s services and despite his 17 goals and keeping Fulham in the Championship many Fulham fans expect the Scot to leave and the Premier League platform may just tempt the Scot to make a move East.

Another factor that may tempt Alex Neil into getting McCormack to sign on the dotted line is the cut price that Fulham may be willing to let McCormack go for. Fulham paid £11 million for him in desperation but that price may be halved if he did make the Premier League move.
