Liverpool On The Prowl For Norwich Youngster

Rumours have once again surfaced that Norwich City youngster, Nathan Redmond is being eyed up by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

The rumour first came about in January when the Daily Mail said the highly rated Redmond was reportedly on the verge of signing for the Reds but the deal never went through with Redmond getting regular game time and impressing for Norwich City.

However this rumour has once again been stirred after Cameron Jerome’s comments on the 22 year old winger in the Daily Star. Jerome said “Nathan can be anything he wants to be. In the last couple of games he has stepped up to the plate and has been head and shoulders above everybody on the pitch. He is a real talent.”

Many Norwich fans were critical of Redmond’s performances throughout the season but his sudden turn in form throughout the play-offs delighted City fans. He finished the season with 7 goals and 13 assists after a poor start to the season which proves his raw talent.

Liverpool will be looking to strengthen their squad after their poor regime this season and Redmond may be a target with the news Raheem Sterling may be on his way out for big money. Redmond would be a cheap, efficient replacement with bags of potential.

With the goals against arch rivals, Ipswich and a big goal in the Play-Off final it’s evident that Redmond can step up when the pressure is on and may be looking for a step up in his career. Only time will tell.

If the money was right would you cash in on Nathan Redmond or do you think we should keep him whatever happens? Let us know via the comment section or Twitter.
