Swansea Look To Sign Olsson

The rumours surrounding Martin Olsson have strengthened in the past few hours as Swansea step up their game to try and sign the Swede.

Swansea’s current left back is Neil Taylor who looks to be moving away from the South Wales club in a deal worth around £3 million.

Swansea manager Garry Monk has stated that he is eager to add to his squad and strengthen as they continue with the remarkable progress they have made over the past few seasons.

Money shouldn’t be a problem for the Swans either after Man City paid a large sum for striker Wilfried Bony.

Martin Olsson has not lived up to expectations this year and was blamed for both of Cardiff’s goals at the weekend.

Olsson who many Norwich fans argued was player of the season last year has so far struggled to adapt to life in the Championship with both injury problems and personal problems playing a part in his dip in form.

Norwich only have one first team LB as a backup which lies in Javier Garrido who many fans argue has far less attacking flair than Olsson who is known for his bursting runs.

There has not yet been an amount mentioned for how much Swansea would pay for Olsson but it seems Norwich would not be willing to let Olsson go for anything under £4 million.

What are your thoughts? Would you like to keep Olsson or are you happy for him to leave. Get in touch with us on Twitter or leave a comment on here!
