McLean expects Maddison to leave Norwich
Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean is expecting James Maddison to leave the club next summer.
McLean has said that he does not think he will get the chance to play alongside Maddison at Norwich next season, with the midfielder linked with a plethora of Premier League sides.
Maddison has been touted with West Ham, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool, among others.
Norwich completed the signing of McLean from Aberdeen in January, loaning him back to the Scottish side until the end of the season – he scored a brace for the club last weekend.
Maddison spent half of last season on loan to Aberdeen in Scotland, playing alongside McLean every week for the Dons.
As quoted by The Pink’Un, McLean does not expect that to be repeated in yellow and green.
I’d spoken to James Maddison about Norwich in the last couple of weeks – but with the way things are going for him I don’t think he’ll be there to play with,” he said.
Madders showed his quality up here and he just went down there and kicked on. He’s shown what a player he can be and he’s just taken his game to the next level.
When you look at things like that, that’s what you strive for and that’s what I’ll be looking to do.
But it’s a long way to go until I get there. It’s all about the next few months at Aberdeen and hopefully finishing really strongly.
