Our player of the month: January
Norwich have enjoyed a fairly successful January, with only one defeat in normal time and a spate of new signings.
The Canaries have played six games during January, with three wins, one draw and two defeats – with one of the two defeats coming on penalties to Chelsea.
Daniel Farke masterminded wins over Millwall, Bristol City and Brentford and a draw at home to Chelsea.
Every month we announce our Norwich player of the month, with the player who has the most man of the match awards during the month collecting the award.
Our winner for January was man of the match in four of the six games during the month, turning in a number of colossal performances at the heart of the Norwich defence.
Our Norwich player of the month for January is… Christoph Zimmermann!
The German was man of the match against Sheffield United, Brentford and in both clashes against Premier League champions Chelsea.
Zimmermann was exceptional throughout the month, and it continuing to improve and grow his reputation as one of the most reliable players at the club.
The 25-year-old was a rock at the back and a deserved winner of this award.
