Efete future to be decided soon by Aldershot boss
Norwich City defender Michee Efete has moved closer to a switch to National League side Aldershot Town, after a brief trial with the Surrey-based club.
Aldershot manager Gary Waddock, speaking to getSurrey, revealed he is on the verge of deciding on who the Shots will sign out of Michee Efete, Crawley Town’s Addison Garnett and ex-Villa defender Jason Akiotu.
We all know we are looking at that area [defence] and the lads that came in [against AFC Wimbledon], I thought they did well. Now I need to make a decision about what I do in terms of them and I will make a decision this weekend.
I thought Michee was nervous for the first ten minutes and then he settled into it and I thought Addy did quite well.
We would like to thank Norwich City and Crawley Town for letting us have a look at their players. I will have some moments over the weekend, make some calls and make some decisions.
If the move does come to fruition, it will be the young defender’s second move away from Carrow Road in three months, having spent a short loan period at Icelandic side Breidablik in May, scoring one goal.
Despite having yet to progress to the Norwich senior team, a move away could suggest potential further reinforcements at the back are still being pursued, with the injury of Timm Klose leaving Daniel Farke with minimal defensive depth.
