Norwich City will still be licking their wounds following their spectacular injury time collapse at St James’ Park on Wednesday night. Having thrown away the opportunity to solidify themselves as table toppers of the Championship, they now need to pick up three points at fellow promotion rivals Wolves to reclaim their place at the top of the league.
While losing to Newcastle away isn’t necessarily a disaster, the fashion Alex Neil’s side collapsed at such a vital part of the game will mean not a single player will be feeling guaranteed a place in the starting eleven.
With a certain Cameroonian centre back being particularly open for criticism, changes at the back are very likely going in to a crucial game against a side with an array of expensive attacking talent.
Here we take a look at the predicted eleven to make the cut for the game live on Sky Sports. Don’t agree? Leave a comment below.
Michael McGovern
Pulled off a number of vital saves at Newcastle.
Ivo Pinto
The only credible option at right back.
Ryan Bennett
Somehow overlooked on Wednesday night by Alex Neil, and Bassong’s shocker should open the door for him to return.
Timm Klose
Still a 50/50 with an injury from the Burton game, but if he’s fit he simply has to play.
Martin Olsson
Had a difficult night against Matt Ritchie, and will be in for a tough afternoon in Wolverhampton too.
Alex Tettey
The Norwegian will be a vital part of a defensive shield to keep out Wolves’ lethal attack.
Graham Dorrans
Had the confidence to step up and take the penalty against Newcastle.
Jacob Murphy
Norwich’s most impressive player of the season so far, without a doubt.
Jonny Howson
He’ll provide an importance balance between attack and defence.
Robbie Brady
The Irishman will give cover for Martin Olsson when overrun on the wings, and also give service for Jerome up front.
Cameron Jerome
People may doubt him, but he’s given everything for the side lately and was rewarded with a lovely goal on Wednesday night.
