This is one that Norwich may have in mind in regards to a possible relegation back down to the Championship. Norwich are currently rock bottom of the league and seven points adrift of safety, with 17 games left to play, which suggests that planning for another season in the second tier would be smart business by the club.

Lopes does not stand out in any metrics in the Championship, but does boast relatively impressive defensive statistics, for a technical midfielder. He has [averaged](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/255363/Show/Leonardo-Da-Silva-Lopes) 1.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 1.1 clearances per-game. For context, Alex Tettey has [managed](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/9342/Show/Alexander-Tettey) 0.8 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per-game.

At just 21-years-old, this suggests that Lopes does have the potential to grow into the type of player who would suit Norwich’s midfield, with his defensive instincts in central areas. With his versatility in being able to play multiple positions, it would also give Farke more options to change his side and be flexible with his tactics and formations.
